We spent two weeks studying communion and what it meant during our kids worship time. We then gathered supplies and kids created serving trays. We had wooden platters we'd ordered from Oriental Trading and had glass mosaic tiles that we glued to the trays. We then invited kids the following Sunday to help serve communion using their trays. We would invite a couple of families each time to help serve. The kids were proud to display their art work while understanding the meaning and symbolism behind communion. It was a precious sight.
