What do you do when you need to generate creative ideas?
*Disclaimer: Remember that in brainstorming there are no rules...even dorky works just to get one thinking :)
Tomorrow I'll be sharing games I came up with inside the Dollar Store too!
Super Soaker ball: Soak in water and toss above the heads of the kids. Talk about how when we are full of the Holy Spirit we just sort of "leak" like that ball did.
Play Dough: use one color to represent a person. Use other colors to represent hurtful words. Start mixing the other colors into the "person" Play Dough. Demonstrate that the colors become mixed and we can't separate them again....once we use our words in harmful ways, we can't take them back.
Sticks of gum: God's Word sticks with us. It's to our benefit to memorize it!
Baby Food: We're supposed to grow in our walk with Christ. We shouldn't remain a "baby Christian" forever.
Socks: We're supposed to take the gospel with us. (This would be a fun Bible verse scramble with different words on the bottom of each sock!)
Wedding Decor: Discuss the marriage supper of the Lamb
Deodorant: Sin stinks!
Clocks: it's important to make time for God each day.
Sidewalk Chalk: Tell a Bible story outdoors or use it to demonstrate how God "wipes away" our mistakes.
Glow Sticks/necklaces, etc.: Let your light shine.
Mike & Ike's: Which one is Mike? Which one is Ike? They look the same but they are different. We should not live as hypocrites. Our lives should be lived consistently.
Picnic Supplies: set out a picnic to share the account of Jesus feeding 5000 people on the side of a hill.
Hand Sanitizer: God wants to take our hearts and purify them.
Candy: Walking with Jesus produces sweet results.
Flashlight: God's Word is a light for our path.
Mirror: Man looks at the outer appearance but God looks at the heart.
Balloons: When a sinner comes to know Jesus all of heaven rejoices
Tea Bags: using them in luke- warm water will not allow them to be effective. When we're
luke- warm Christians, we're much the same.
Eye Drops: God's presence can soothe our fears/troubles.
Sunscreen: We need to protect ourselves against the enemy.
